Islamabad: Our Aim Foundation, a US-based non-profit organization, has successfully distributed meals to children at a school in Chitral, providing nutritious meals to all enrolled students. The school is adopted by Our Aim Foundation to enhance the quality of its facilities and educational delivery. This initiative is part of Our Aim Foundation’s ongoing efforts to combat hunger, a critical focus area for the organization.
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly exacerbated food insecurity globally. Since the pandemic’s onset, many developing nations have experienced rampant food inflation. Currently, 63.2% of low-income countries are facing inflation rates exceeding 5%, further straining the ability of vulnerable populations to access basic necessities. Our Aim Foundation is dedicated to combatting this inflation and alleviating hunger.
Pakistan, particularly in South Asia, is a primary geographical area where Our Aim Foundation is actively addressing food insecurity. The region has seen rising food prices due to various geopolitical and socio-economic factors. Malnutrition remains a severe issue, with over 40% of children under the age of 5 in Pakistan suffering from stunted growth.
“Our mission is to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry,” said Nisha Mandani, Founder & CEO of Our Aim Foundation. “By distributing meals at Chitral School, we are not only providing immediate relief but also supporting long-term health and fostering the development of mind, body, and soul.”
Our Aim Foundation calls on the global community to support its efforts in combatting food inflation and ensuring food security for all. Contributions and support are crucial in helping us continue our mission to fight hunger and promote well-being in vulnerable regions.
