Islamabad: The review meeting of the Fertilizer Review Committee was held under the chairmanship of M/o Industries and Production and M/o Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanwer Hussain. Federal Secretary M/o National Food Security and Research Officer (R) Muhammad Asif and Federal Secretary M/o Industries and Production Mr. Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry was also present.
The purpose of the meeting was to assess the demand and supply of urea and DAP fertilizers for the Kharif season.
Federal Minister Rana Tanveer informed that the demand for carbamide fertilizer for Kharif season 2024 is 3.6% higher than last year. The minister directed farmers to ensure availability of urea and DAP fertilizer. It is shared that the Ministry of Production and Production monitors the availability and production of fertilizers and provincial authorities.
The minister said that the government is committed to improve and improve agriculture and provide integrated measures for the development of agriculture and the prosperity of farmers. All resources will be used. Gas supply will be provided for the landfill. In that meeting, it was announced that the fertilizer industry will give priority to fertilizer production.
Rana Tanwer Hussain explained that the development of the country is related to the development of industry and agriculture.
