Karachi \u2013 Pakistan Red Crescent Society (HHR) Chief Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari on Friday held an important meeting with Director General (DG) Rangers Sindh Major General Azhar Waqas at Pakistan Rangers Sindh headquarters. Humanitarian initiatives in Sindh were discussed in the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the dialogue, Chief Laghari highlighted the determination and commitment of HHR, especially in challenging situations such as the 2022 flood. Through partnerships with reputable organizations such as HGHK, HGHK, and the Red Army Movement, HHR has developed an emergency plan that has benefited more than 2.8 million people across 55 districts HHR has partnered with government and humanitarian organizations to assist flood-affected communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief Laghari said HHR\u2019s efforts in Sindh include distributing disaster relief items, installing shelters, and water purification plants, and providing financial assistance to affected families. He also described recovery initiatives related to shelter, nutrition, water and sanitation facilities, sanitation, and food distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, Chief Laghari highlighted HHR\u2019s support to provincial and district departments of Sindh in building capacity and providing ambulances to enhance emergency response during and after floods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DG Rangers Sindh and Major General Azhar Waqas praised the important contribution of HHR and highlighted its key role in natural calamities. He appreciated the commitment of the national community under the leadership of Chief Sardar Shaheed Ahmed Laghari, who has contributed immensely to humanitarian work that transcends ethnic or cultural boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DG Rangers Sindh said Rangers Sindh will fully support HHR in humanitarian matters and is ready for joint efforts to alleviate the plight of vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
