H.E. Ambassador Jemal Invites Sindh Governor to 2nd Trade Delegation to Ethiopia

H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Jamal Beker Abdula, Governor of Sindh Province, H.E. Kamran Khan Tessori for the 2nd Business and Trade Mission to Ethiopia from May 26 to May 31, 2024.
The Ambassador extended the invitation during a meeting with the Governor of Sindh at the Karachi Municipal Corporation. Issues of mutual interest, including bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, were also discussed.
H.E. Ambassador Jamal Baker introduced the Governor of Sindh to the 2nd Trade and Commerce Delegation to Ethiopia with international manufacturing trade fair, business forum, visit to industrial park and cultural night in Addis Ababa.
He informed the Governor of Sindh about the great response received by the 2nd trade delegation from the business community of Pakistan.
The Ambassador also shared the experience of last year’s trade delegation of Pakistani businessmen to Ethiopia, which played an important role in bringing together the business communities of the two countries.
On the other hand, the Sindh Governor said he was looking forward to visiting Ethiopia, which enjoys friendly and brotherly relations with Pakistan.
He praised the economic growth and development of Ethiopia under the visionary leader H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of Ethiopia.
Governor of Sindh reminded thousands of students about the launch of free IT courses on Artificial Intelligence, Web 3.0 and Metaverse.
Then H.E. Addressing a large gathering of students at the IT facility, Ambassador Jamal Baker Abdula appreciated the Sindh Governor’s initiative to empower the youth with modern skills.
The Ambassador said that Pakistan has more than 60 percent of its population and talented youth. Equipping them with modern skills is essential to drive economic growth and development in Pakistan.
He said it would help integrate modern technology with the global market and ultimately contribute to building a strong nation.
The Ambassador said that the Government of Ethiopia is ready to work with the Government of Pakistan to share experience, expertise and knowledge to ensure equitable development around the world.
